Basic Structure of the Rig

• Rod: A light‑game rod or eging rod around 7'8" to 8'0" is recommended for long‑distance casting and for ensuring solid hook‑sets at range.
• Reel: A small spinning reel in the 2000–2500 size range.
• Line and Leader: Using PE line (0.4–0.8号) provides excellent casting distance even with lightweight jigs. Attach a fluorocarbon leader of 1–3号 (about 6–10lb).
• Lure (Micro Jig): Use small metal jigs made of lead or tungsten. Models with tinsel hooks (flashy fibers) or small spinning blades are also effective for improving bite response.

Fishing Procedure

1. Casting and Sinking: Cast toward your target area and count down to let the jig sink to the desired depth or to the bottom.
2. Action:
   Lift & Fall — Lightly jerk the rod to lift the jig, then let it fall; many bites occur during the fall.
   Steady Retrieve — With blade‑type jigs, simply reeling at a constant speed is often enough to attract fish.
3. Bite and Hook‑set: Many bites occur during the fall, felt as a small “kon.” Watch the line carefully. When you feel a bite, wait for the fish to start running before setting the hook to increase your hook‑up rate.
