Basic Structure of the Rig

• Rod: A light‑game rod or eging rod around 7'8" to 8'0" is recommended for long‑distance casting and strong hook‑setting performance at range.
• Line: Use PE line around 0.4号 as the main line, connected to a firm fluorocarbon leader around 1.2号.
• Float (Casting Float): Choose between a floating type that stays on the surface or a slow‑sinking (diving) type depending on conditions.
• Rig Connection Method: Use a swivel designed for float‑carolina rigs, allowing quick and easy float changes.
• Jighead and Worm: Attach an ultra‑light jighead (0.2g–0.6g) beneath the float.

Fishing Procedure

1. Casting: Make a long cast toward offshore tide lines, current seams, or light‑and‑dark boundaries.
2. Countdown: Let the float sink to the desired depth (range) by counting down.
3. Action and Feeding Pause:
   The basic action is a slow, steady retrieve.
   Create feeding opportunities by stopping the retrieve and letting the float drift with the current, or by giving small “twitches” with the rod tip followed by a fall.
4. Detecting Bites: Focus carefully so you don’t miss faint taps like a distant “kon.”
5. Hook‑set and Landing: Since the fight happens at long distance, lift the rod firmly to set the hook and reel the fish in.
